eBay Sleeper: 1979 Chevrolet Malibu with Pontiac GTO 5.7-liter LS1 V8

Lotus Esprit with Audi V8 Engine Transplant!

Now if this isn’t a project straight from hell we don’t what is; this guy took a 1981 Lotus Esprit S3 and decided to replace its 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 4.2-liter V8 unit from an Audi A8! Understandably, that’s easier said than done as you can imagine what sort of problems can pop-up with an engine-transplant like this. Still, he managed to do it and for this, he deserves our utter

Project Frankenstein: 1988 BMW M3 with 507Hp M5 V10 Engine!

Think about it; a nimble and compact 1988 BMW M3 equipped with the most powerful engine that bimmer has to offer today – the 507 Hp 5.0-liter V10 unit from the M5/M6 models. Too much power, to much weight up front, no more balance if you ask us, but admittedly an interesting project from Piper Motorsport’s behalf. The Franken M3 (that’s the project car’s name) is being developed as we speak.
